Last year’s champion, Iga Świątek, isn’t competing this year.<br/> Instead, her rival Jelena Ostapenko is returning to Seoul after three years away — and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome her back.</p> <p>The tournament is held at the Olympic Park Tennis Center, originally built for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. It’s a wonderfully old venue, and this year it finally completed a partial renovation — I’m thrilled the old stadium seats have finally been replaced.<br/> If you’re coming to Seoul in September, you have to come watch some tennis.
